Station Road - Church Road
Kingsway, along with it's own streets of Queens Crescent, Duke Street
and Lord Street, and with the original Stanley Gardens was buit in the
1920's to provide housing for the new mining industry. It was at this
time that Stainforth saw a major influx of immigrants from the troubled
coal fields of the Durham area.

Atkinson's Bakery - one of Stainforth's oldest businesses.
During the miner's strike of '84-'85 Mr Atkinson was kind enough to
donate his bread to the miners of Stainforth.

Stanley Gardens.

"Stainforth Travel" now occupies the premises which
for many years were a toy shop / shoe shop and cobblers.
