The work to build a new footbridge at the station is almost complete. Replacing the old bridge, which had become something of an eyesore, this new bridge has an extensive three tier ramp system, which allows disabled people access to the station for the first time.

There is also talk of plans to build access to the station from East Lane in Stainforth, which would no doubt make the journey to Doncaster by train a more popular option.
