The Stainforth & District Local History Society

The Stainforth & District Local History Society meets on the first Thursday of each month (except January & August). Meetings usually take place at the Methodists Hall on Church Road and start at 7pm.

Usually, a guest speaker is invited to attend the meeting, talking about topics of various subjects of local historical interest. Sometimes these talks are accompanied by shows of slides or film and are usually very entertaining and interesting.

Tea and coffee with biscuits are available halfway through the evening, and a raffle is drawn at the end of the meeting.

Everyone there is really friendly and new members are always welcome so please come along and discover your local heritage!

Membership is £3 per year. Non-members pay £1 per meeting
