1927: Chapel of Ease opened from Crowle.
1931: Parish founded.
1956: Present Church opened.
1984: Premonstatensian Canons relinquished the care of the Parish to the Diocese.

Our Lady of The Assumption is now closely linked with the Ss Joseph and Nicholas, Moorends.
Since late 2001 Fr. Roy Pannell has been the priest for both parishes
